Americano and Negroni were invented in Italy. Gourmet cocktails were
called American drinks as they were cooked for Americans who were
looking for new feelings prohibited in their country. During The Noble
Experiment in the USA different beverages were mixed in order to hide
the taste of alcohol.
The popularity of cocktails grew very fast when the owners of bars tried
to find the ways to attract more clients in order to survive in the
strong
competition. Afterwards cocktails became the last word in fashion and
talented barmen invented new recipes of sophisticated and exotic
cocktails. The popularity of cocktails spread from the USA to the
Continent. Cocktail bars and gourmet cocktail parties developed very
rapidly and they were very popular but at the same time they were not
very accessible because not everyone could afford a cocktail and usually
it was a privilege of "the Bright Young People".
Cocktails became a part
of their lifestyle on the level with jazz and other popular attributes
though the older generation was satisfied with sherry as a traditional
